As the intent of this course is to create successful, self-employed FMT practitioners, Introduction to Small Business Management module will guide students on setting up their own business. Areas such as registering the business entity, finance management, insurance, professional appearance, ethical and legal considerations and guidance on client communication will be addressed.

This module is taught by veterinary surgeon Dr. Jackie Layng MVB MRCVS and
provides an in-depth look at the horse’s body structure from skeleton to soft
tissues. Emphasis is placed on the musculoskeletal system however students will
also become familiar with the different body systems i.e. respiratory, alimentary,
reproductive etc. Students will become confident identifying palpable surface
anatomy of the horse, which will be required for future therapeutic modules.
