Year 1 is primarily lecture based with one weekend practical.

• Weekly evening lectures (3 hours)
• Weekend course (Full day Saturday and Sunday)
• Independent learning.

Year 2 and 3 involves a combination of lectures, practical days and a
weekend course.

• Fortnightly evening lectures (3 hours)
• Fortnightly practical days (full day)
• Full weekend course
• Independent learning

Independent learning involves both academic and practical study. To
facilitate practical study, students are expected to have continuing
access to horses in equestrian centre, yard, horseshow, or field
situation.

Year 4 involves a working apprenticeship with regular involvement
and guidance from Davide Focardi or another qualified FMT
practitioner.

This course is offered only to a small number of students per year to
ensure one to one tuition and ample practical experience.
